Roulette Strategies

Gameplay outcome in roulette is largely based on chance. That, however, has not stopped gamblers from devising strategies that would enhance their winning chances. A lot of professional and expert gamblers have come up with strategies that a lot of people across the world use. Martingale

This roulette strategy is the most popular of them all and possibly the best. It is very simple and easy to implement and works best when used in the European versions of the game. The way this strategy works is bettors need to make a bet on any number of their choice. If the bet wins, they keep on betting the exact amount they were betting. If the bet is a loss, they simply double their bet and hope to recoup this when they win. This is a long term betting strategy that can easily deplete a bankroll once the player hits a losing streak.

James Bond Strategy

This is named after the most famous spy of them all and was reportedly invented by Lan Fleming himself. In this strategy, players make no less than three different bets that cover various parts of the wheel. A win results in a continuation of the bet, while a loss sees the bet value doubled till a win is recorded. The James Bond strategy is not for the faint of heart, as it requires a deep bankroll to cover a losing streak.

Paroli

Unlike the two above, the Paroli roulette betting system counsels doubling bets following a win. This doubling continues till a trio of consecutive wins are recorded, or the bet is lost. When the bet is lost, the original amount is wagered again.

D’Alembert

This strategy was invented by a mathematician called Jean Baptiste le Rond d’Alembert. It is more suited to cautious gamblers or those that are protective of their money. This betting system is a long term one and is akin to a delicate dance of sorts. Here, bettors who, for example, bet a certain amount of rupees and win are expected to decrease their next bet by a single rupee. If they lose, the bet should be increased by a single rupee too. Using this system, players can expect to stretch out their bankroll and might be lucky enough to see some wins.

Labouchere

Here, players need to strive towards a predetermined objective. This involves deciding how much they want to make and then dividing this into multiple numbers and aiming to win some of these with every bet. As an example, say someone wants to win 20 rupees using the Labouchere system, they can divide that into 2-2-4-4-4-4-2 and make plans to win these amounts per bet. To start, players can decide on their winning goal, cut this into more manageable sizes and then input them into a Labouchere chart. Once betting begins, players can add up a couple of numbers positioned at either end of their list and then wager that on an even money bet. If the bet wins, the two numbers are crossed off, if the bet loses, the losing numbers must be added to the right part of the list, as they must be won to achieve the winning objective. Players then keep on taking numbers from the left and right part of their sheet, adding these up and betting an equivalent amount till there are no numbers or the list is too long to be effective. Worth noting is that since this strategy requires players to fill out a sheet, it might not be accepted at most physical casinos. Moreover, the speed of play in some casinos might be too fast for players to catch the numbers they need to record on their sheet.

Fibonacci

The Fibonacci strategy is identical to the Martingale strategy in that it only supports bets on red or black. It is also based on the ancient Fibonacci sequence. In this strategy, once players lose a bet, their next bet needs to be the sum of their last two bets. While this strategy does have its advantages, players who utilize it can have their bankroll depleted when they face an extended losing streak.
